Man killed in trucking accident at Buffalo grain terminal

A73-year-old Davenport man was killed Tuesday when he was struck by a truck at the CHS Davenport Grain terminal in Buffalo, police said. Buffalo Police Sgt. Rich Aleksiejczyk said that at 8:55 a.m., Buffalo police and firefighters and deputies of the Scott County Sheriff’s Department were sent to the 700 block of East Front Street to investigate the report of a man struck by a truck. Upon arrival the victim was found to be trapped under the rear wheels of a tandem dump truck. The victim, Gerald Boldt, owner of Boldt Trucking, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Iowa State Patrol is investigating the incident.

Upon arrival the victim was found to be trapped under the rear wheels of a tandem dump truck.

The victim, Gerald Boldt, owner of Boldt Trucking, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Iowa State Patrol is investigating the incident.
