Man killed in trucking accident at Buffalo grain terminal

A73-year-old Davenport man was killed Tuesday when he was struck by a truck at the CHS Davenport Grain terminal in Buffalo, police said.

Buffalo Police Sgt. Rich Aleksiejczyk said that at 8:55 a.m., Buffalo police and firefighters and deputies of the Scott County Sheriff’s Department were sent to the 700 block of East Front Street to investigate the report of a man struck by a truck.

Upon arrival the victim was found to be trapped under the rear wheels of a tandem dump truck.

The victim, Gerald Boldt, owner of Boldt Trucking, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Iowa State Patrol is investigating the incident.
