BY JONATHAN SHUGARTS REPUBLICAN-AMERICAN WATERBURY -- A Wisconsin truck driver was sentenced to two years in prison Monday in connection with a collision on Route 8 that killed a Department of Transportation worker. Gina Davies, of Janesville, Wis., a tractor-trailer driver, was arrested in February by state police after an accident on the northbound side of Route 8 that claimed the life of Daniel DiNardi, 41, who had spent half his adult life working for the DOT.
US - Cargill’s animal nutrition business announced that it has completed the sale of its Hanford, Calif., feed manufacturing facility to Pitman Family Farms, a family owned poultry farmer. The sale includes the land, buildings and machinery. Terms of the agreement were not made public. Cargill will continue to maintain a presence by offering specialty ingredients, products and services to animal producers in this market.
By Katie Brace ROME, GA (CBS ATLANTA) - A Rome trucker is fighting for his life back, after he said a wrong-turn has changed his life. Until the spring, Josh Banks made a good living as a truck driver to support his family, that includes five children. In March, Banks said he and his father were taking a load from Michigan to Massachusetts. Banks said his father was driving and made a wrong turn, putting them on the bridge to Point Edward, Canada.
