ATA and the speed limiters
Amazing when the group that originated this speed limiter idea in the first place, now no longer wants it. Funny is it not, when they first were asking for it the price of fuel was up, and rates were up. Now that the price of fuel is down, rates are down, the newer trucks actually get better fuel mileage at higher speeds. Warranty issues from running their trucks at slower speeds. All of the sudden the ATA says wait a minute we screwed up, we really just want trucks to do the same speed as whatever we set ours at. You asked for it in the first place ATA so now you will either have to join forces with us and kiss all that lobbying money goodbye, or eat what you wanted in the first place. We Independent Carriers know that you want us to either become a glorified power only lease operator with you or just go away.
