This may be a little hard to explain, but I'll give it a shot. Stand on top of the material in the hopper, directly over the door opening and dig a trench from driver's side to passenger's side of the trailer all the way to the bottom so you can see out the bottom of the trailer door. Dig this a little wider than the width of a spade shovel. Get in the truck and rock it back and forth and the product will fall out. I am also starting to see time limits put on trucks dumping. One mill is 30 mintues and the another is 45 mintues. So Being the driver that I used to be , I waited and was very gracious when they told me 36hrs later I may dump my load. So I did just that and after dumping my load I was told That I also must help the mill workers do there job in getting it in bin or they wouldnt wiegh me out and acknowledge my load was ever there, So being very angry and chewing off half my tongue without arguing I did so and got the blank out of there and promised myself I would never ever get myself in that situation again. And the first thing I did was buy a camcorder for my truck to view every dump and its time and date. Second thing is have in the bill of lading or contract get a signatureof acknowledgement load has arrived and been excepted or declined, your not asking them to sign its been dumped just that you have got it there and they will except it before its dumped it must be acknowledged, there if they want to send you to the back of the line with half a load so be it, dump it beside there scale and leave for you got proof you delivered it on the camcorder and the signed a sheet and if they wont wiegh you out thats what the sherrif is for. Looking for any helpful advice on getting cgfp out of hopper trailers. We use air tools, hammers, pipes from the top down though the product, etc.. just seem to be very sticky lately; I know it's been hot. I appreciate any input., thanks.
