If you pull in somewhere and scale in, then you park and have the ability to go where you wish until they unload you you can call it sleepr time if you use the sleeper or Off Duty time. At least that is what we are letting our drivers do and when we haev been stopped DOT hasn't said that we can't. And if it's not perfect.. Ticket time. It is my understanding that if you walk away from the truck as in go home. It's off duty. But if you are using your sleeper you need at least 8 hours sleeper time but you have to be in the sleeperand the other two .. If you are out of the sleeper can be off duty. What difference does it make if you log off duty and are in the sleeper.. But I've been called on it a couple of times.
