Anyone out there with a conestoga? I'm contemplating using a conestoga to move some freight where I have been using regular flatbeds. The issue is tarping - the flatbed tarping can sometimes lead to damage to the freight if the tarps are applied too tightly (a rare occurence). A conestoga should theoretically remove that risk. My question is for you conestoga owners out there - if the freight is 99 inches wide, will it have any problems fitting inside the trailer without hitting an inside support beam, (the trailers, I believe, are about 101" or 102" wide? The freight moves from PA to CO and other locations, so the tarp is always necessary due to the long distances and weather. Flatbeds have been fine for this route, but I'm intrigued by the conestoga option...

My dispatchers husband has one and you can use the full 102" as the tarp system is on the outside of the flatbed.

Daws Transportation in MIlford, NE have several " Roll-Tite" trailers in their fleet. They can be reached @ 800-372-4801. Good people to work with. Some of theirs can do 100" in width. You will be good to go. Great Bunch of people.

Conestogas's I found in my experience can not haul the weight of 48,000 LBS. The trailers are a lot heavier. |

I was wondering if your company is also known as Gerber Farms. I've seen your equipment and I must say TOP SHELF. |
