CORNHUSKER TRAILER

looking at buying a cornhusker model 800, 42' x 96 x 72" tall. can anyone tell me how much weight it can hold. can i get 50,000 lbs in it? thanks for any help.

Depends what you are loading in it. Most commodities like corn, beans, wheat, no problem. But if you get into some of the lighter stuff like wheat midds or rice bran, you will not come close. 72 in sides will suffice in an OTR operation, but I would sure look for at least a 78" sides to make some money, and give you some versatility. Depends on your operation though.

hey thanks. i am looking at another as well. it is only got 66" sides but 48' long. would i be able to get my weight in it? i dont know hopper trailers...thanks

You will be able to get 50'000 of most feed stuffs in it. Like another said, extremely light products wont get there. We haul gluten pellets and ddg in ours as well as grain and grain meals and get along fine. Nice lightweight trailer

chris are talking about the cornhusker i should be able to get 50,000 in. i do pellets and ddg as well just want to make sure i can get 50 in it. thanks

Yes, weve got a 40' 72" sided cornhusker that'll hold 28 ton of gluten pellets but its full. DDG is about 26 ton max

I have a Cornhusker 800, it's 45'x102"x80" and can get 26 ton of soybean hulls which is a light product. I have this trailer for sale if you would like to look at it give me a call at, 660-621-2139

what year is your trailer? what is the weight? and how much do you want for it?

Jerry if you dont mind me asking why are you selling this trailer and what would you be replacing it with? Just curious. I am thinking about a hopper bottom but dont know alot about them and just dont want to get into something I cant make good money with.

I have a Model 800 that I would be willing to sell, 48'x96" with 72" sides, 102" spread axle. Its a little older but in good shape, 1996. New tarp. Give me a call if you are interested or want pics. 970-381-5554

Jeff I have a 1999 44'6"x102" cornhusker with 84" sides for sale. Has 8'8" spread weighs 9,060 lbs. Says 2,112 cubic feet capacity heaped. If interested call me. 806-773-8271
