We need to encourage all in our industry to post their comments, get your family involved as well. This is a possible policy that can impact not just we truckers but our families as well. Imagine if tomorrow over 2 million trucks were now rolling down the highway at the same exact speeds. Not only will rear end collisions rise between automobiles and big trucks, but bottlenecked traffic conditions as well. For those that have never driven a governored truck, let me tell you that anxiety for that driver is a constant. That driver has a tendency to try and over compensate for their loss of time in other areas. They tend to speed in slower speed limit areas, they tend to hold the right lane when traffic is merging onto the highway, they tend to drive more fatigued because they have to stay glued to the seat for longer periods of time.\n \n Let us be doers instead of whiners, make your comments and let other know to make theirs as well. How is the FMCSA supposed to know that your are opposed to such a thing if you fail to tell them? We failed as a group of truckers to let them know how much we despised the ELD's, many did not take the time to make a comment at all, yet they gripe and complain about it.
