But, the key to getting anything is to know what the policy is, if they have any. If a broker booked this, you need to ask them about it. You will need the name of the person who told you to be there. If they just said \"Monday morning,\" that is a big space of time. If you can get somebody to tell you what their policy is and what hoops you have to jump through to get demurrage, then you do everything they say, call them when you know there will be a delay and so on, then you might have a chance. You need to tell whoever booked this that you will not haul this load or to this place or whatever unless they can follow through with delay pay. Unless you are a big carrier or have a good relationship with somebody who has clout, you will be lucky if anyone even listens to your complaint.
