Flatbeds - 100K
I can't seem to find a flatbed carrier who will haul 100K with straps and tarps for steel sheets I have a picture attached. This is what I am looking for:
Our sometimes difficult route(s) to cover are in upstate New York. Some carriers (with the right number of axels) can haul up to 100,000#. Most carriers can only handle 46,000 to 48,000#. We mostly haul plates which are often up to 72” wide. The average stack of plates weigh about 6,000#. We load and unload trucks with an overhead sheet lifter, so only flat beds will suffice. The drivers are responsible to instruct the loaders where to specifically load these stacks on the truck. Drivers will chain these stacks down and must tarp the load to protect the steel from getting any water damage underway.
