It takes time and effort and knowledge to build the kind of relationship with customers that will keep trucks moving. Having your own steady customers is the best way to go but it isn't easy to achieve. Once an O/O catches a good situation like that he doesn't tell other people, he provides good service and keeps his mouth shut. There are comanies and brokers that will take you on as you probably know. But they take a share of the money. It's a trade-off.
