How long can you run rears?
Just wondering if any of you people who run trucks high mileage have a good idea about how long a set of rears is good for. I ran a set 1,300,000 once (sold the truck) but that truck had an easy life only pulling a heavy load once or twice a month. My current truck had around 900,000 on it and the only thing not rebuilt is the rears. It hauls average 77,000 lbs and pulls some serious hills. The guy at the gear shop says I am asking for failure if I go past a million. Then I have had guys say they will run a lot longer. I know some of you have opinions. Just looking for input.
