I was just using a scenario in the post above. At this moment we are running a 90 mi loop, 45 each way. I have a good relationship with the shipper and they take care of me with .21/bu. Figures up to be just over $2/mi all miles. Our load time is 5-15 min this includes line time and our unload times are 3-12min including line time. They have been getting 5-6 a day each. Do your research on shippers and establish common ground with them. If wait times go up I will flat out get more money or go home. The hopper rates have historically been around $2.00/mi in our area.
