Like damp sand is about 2500-3000 a yard. And 70 bucks an hour whether for a single load or a million loads, that truck still runs the same.. Depending on your inter bridge.. From last driver to front trailer will depend how much weight you can haul.. The short end dumps like in California you can only legal 72,380.. And you will be over weight on the rear tandems by about 2000 libs. A friend tried with a loader, putting all of the material in the very front and the tandems were still over. But.. You can use longer ones if the pick up point and the job site can handle longer trailers. Such as being able to dump and not be close to any overhead wires. If there are.. You have to be a minimum of 10 ft, depending on the voltage.. So even if you can load 80,000 lbs, with only a day cab, and an aluminum trailer there is no way that anybody could legal over about 23-25 yards or about 48-50 ton per trip. If you need 50 yard trailers.. The rail road could handle that.. And once the state found out that we were trying to haul anything over 80,000 I can almost guarantee that right outside that pick up point there would be a state scale all set up waiting on YOU. Now as for the pay. I bet 90 dollars an hour paid from truck yard to truck yard , you might get some attention. And that includes pre trip time, fueling time, travel to and from the job. Not when the truck gets there, and with the time broken down to 1/4 hour.. With a legal 15 minute break paid and a 1/2 lunch not paid. Just something for you to think about.. This is conservitive with potential to go up or down as conditions allow. I am sorry that you keep getting flack for offering work. We will look into getting some interest for you.
