MORE BROKERS
Hello all, i got a call this afternoon from a very large broker. Some of you may know who they are and some may not, im not gonna mention any names. They are a big brokerage that has delt with flats,vans,reefers ect for a long time. I use to run a few flats so i know a little about them. Good people, not saying anything bad there. But this gentleman called me and his exact words were. I am going to start quoteing some hopper and end dump business and i was curious how do you all quote and figure your rates? What can you haul? How much can you haul? I explained to him that i was not going to help or support his company to get into our part of the industry. We have plenty of brokers and need more trucks. He sounded suprised but then said thank you and hung up. I personally will not support the big brokerage companies coming into this indusrty. We have enough brokers. It is a small world and operates alot different than the van, flat or reefer business.I ask that the rest of you do the same. Thanks
