OOIDA NATIONAL CALL TO ACTION ALERT - UPDATE ON HR 574
Thank you for making your voices heard last week. With your help, the U.S. House of Representatives voted 405-16 to pass H.R. 674 (http://www.ooida.com/Documents/HR674-112th.pdf) - legislation that permanently prevents a 3% “preemptive tax” on payments made by local, state, and federal governments to anyone providing them services. Despite this strong vote in the House and support from President Obama, the Senate is considering changing the House legislation, meaning that the process would have to start all over again and getting this important legislation into law would be put at significant risk. This legislation needs to pass now!
Please call both of your Senators TODAY! Please tell both of your Senators to support H.R.674 without any changes so it can become law.
