Does anyone else have nightmares from the fiasco they called "Shipping Wars?" I could barely watch the first two episodes. It condoned renegade drivers, and portrayed them as ignorant, rude, and completely unprofessional. I can't believe UShip associated themselves with it; I'm guessing they didn't know how it would run.
I'm all for promoting professional drivers and shedding light on the issues and safety concerns we face every minute of every day. I would love to believe in the hype of the show. I don't see it as a positive for the industry; especially in this market. All we need are the "down home family-lovin' truck drivers in their pretty big rigs" portrayed as the norm. I'm not saying anyone with a large car isn't worth their salt. We all know Billy Big Rigger; and the drivers I know aren't that way, love their home and family, and are proud of their trucks, whether they or a company owns them.
If they want recent pictures of drivers and their rigs, this just sews it shut for another reality-show-that's-not-reality.
*sigh*
