Run under your authority or lease to someone else? Many companies will put you on as a power only carrier pulling their trailer and their freight, maybe try that to see how it goes, or or just park your truck and go drive a reefer for a couple months. Several different ways to procede, choose one and don't look back. I got out of car hauling Feb 2014, went to driving a reefer for someone else, and after trying 3 companies, the 4th one is perhaps the one I will retire from. Small family broker operation with 3 tractors and 6 reefer trailers. They have a lot of freight so always something to do. I wouldn't rely on a regular broker simply because majority of it is not theirs and a lot of them don't know how to fight for what is yours or don't care. Too bad you're not over here by us I'd give you some work. I have always stayed away from the reefer simply because when it gets slow then you start hauling dry freight and everybody's competing with each other or u get a rejected box or pallet and u just ate it.
