they are at it again..this time its tire safety..

I couldn't get the article here but its on the news section..the complaint now is the speeds that trucks can drive and tires not being able to handle the loads and speeds..and wanting to put speed limiters on the trucks...they claim it will cut down on fatalities...but it will do just the opposite...especially if you drive on a lot of 2 lane roads..if your being limited to 55 which this one guy wants..and the speed limit is 70 more people will pass..and some not so safely..then there is you behind some TV that's on vacation and thinks 45 or 50 is a nice speed to go down the road...but you can only do 55 and try to pass...and try to pass..and again and again..until its we are going to pass..and who's behind all of this? The same people who claimed thousands of more people will die on the highways when you raise the speed limits from55 to 65...didn't happen..then said the fatalities would rise again when we went to 75...funny thing here...didn't happen but went down as drivers were more attentive..then the ATA wants you to slow down to 65 because their members can't compete against you as well...but this time they claim the tires can't take the speed..until Michelin had their say..funny how that can work out.it gets more and more apparent that these so called experts and the ATA want to treat you as children..why is that?
