Spray with inside PB Blaster or something similar. Let soak for a bit and turn the air on. If the piston dosen't come out try tapping on the housing with a hammer or tapping on piston and work it free. Keep in mind that once the piston comes free the air will shoot it out of the housing. Don't have your face in front of it because it will leave a mark. Once you have the piston out clean it and the housing up. Make sure you have good air flow to the vibator and that the vents open. If the vents are plugged it won't allow it to work. We run air tool oil through them from time to time. There are times that one will not work and we just shoot PB Blaster in the vents turn the air on and hit it with a hammer and it goes back to working. Good luck. Take the vents out so more oil can get in on both side of the piston. Don't be afraid to be rough on it. Try not to beat the piston all the way down. You will have to use air pressure to get it to come out of the housing. If you can get it broke loose you might have to have the air on trying to push it out while knocking the piston back down with the hammer. I have had to work them back and forth like that before. I then took a brake cylinder hone to the housing, cleaned the rust up and reassembled after cleaning the piston on a wire wheel. Just cut the washer back off, it will work just fine. I've also let a vibrator soak in a 5 gallon pail of diesel fuel to try to get it broke loose that way.
