500 TRUCKS SHUT DOWN TODAY IN PROTEST

just wonder what the impact of 500 trucks shutting down due to low rates, uncompensated hours waiting, etc ,would avail. if truckers were a minority, you know race ,religion etc,and were not paid like the rest of the population, would there be an outcry from politicians, aclu, naacp, binai brith, etc.id say 500 trucks in this mode would certainly get some attention. i mean think of all those poor brokers who have so much tied up in telephones and fax machines, their overhead must run dozens of dollars a day, surely they would be devastated. all the hungry livestock waiting on feed, the mills waiting on product. maybe then they would find some value in services provided. equal work for equal pay seems to be the rally call for all the other classes of people, how is it some can be discriminated by their occupation.drivers are held to the highest standards regulated like rocket scientist, but treated like 2nd class citizens.guess we are r4eally not needed, 500 trucks. 6 million employed in transportation, wonder what 500 are worth
