It seems like the only way you can make any money in this business anymore, is if you screw someone else out of their share of the pie. Twenty years ago i new people who would buy a few trucks, and lease them on to a carrier and put drivers in those trucks, and actually make money at it. They actually made money running under someone elses authority, and could pay a driver a fair wage, and still have some money left over for them self. They used to buy used trucks and take them to the body shop, and have them all painted to match one another. They used to pay cash for fuel. Now they cant even afford to keep tires on the truck? Or perform proper maintance on a truck ? Most owner opperators these days are on obama care and food stamps, after working 70+ hours a week? Mean while all the refugees that come to america go down to the social security office and sign up for $2400.00 a month in social security benefit's. They never paid a dime into it, but they start collecting it the moment they get here. I went down to the federal building a month ago, and when i looked into the social security office, there were 50 somolians, and two white people. The folks who work next door said it's like that every day! Then i go down to the court house, and i feel like i am in somolia becuase every where i look that is all i see!
