The only time I bring up that I have a triple is when a shipper calls and wants me to go to Missouri or Arkansas for $XX/ton. I just explain that with my triple and empty weight it doesn't behoove me to run those states for that rate. And that it would take $XX/ton for me to effectively run that lane. The same goes for Illinois. If the load is staying in a 90k gross state, or even Kansas at 85,500, I quote the rate I need, load and go. It's none of their concern how many axles we run. Without an understanding of your conversations with your customers, my opinion is to never bring it up. Hope this helps.
