CAN ANYONE ADD ANYMORE!! $1.30 PER MILE, REALLY!

Do the math. It cost $152 a day just to own a hopper & tractor( truck/trailer payment, truck insurance, workmans comp insurance, license & taxes). This is based on 20 days in a month(drive time). Ok, lets go 500 miles in 1 day @ $1.30 =$650, subtract 25% for driver= $487.50 Now, stay with me here, lets take off the $152(per day cost to own truck/trailer) = $335.50, still with me? Now your going to use 100 gals of fuel @ $3.86(local price today). Which comes to a GRAND TOTAL OF (drum roll please) $-50.50 a day LOSS. This does not include of course- fuel additives, DOT problems , repairs etc.......
