Company's need to check out safety rating before they hire a job done

Sitting here in St. Louis, got here to load midds, 4:05 am. There was a truck broke down in the loading lane, been there since 9:00 pm or so I was told. So here is the issue, I'm going to be late now because of someone's lack of matinence on their rig, driver tried to call his boss, but would not answer. Checked the company on safestat, first the company is not authorized to conduct business, 41percent vehicle out of service rate, only runs 4 trucks, 3 drivers. Runs less than 50000 miles per truck according to the 150 report. I don't feel my company needs to be charged wait time after all it's not thier fault, how about the company or broker the company in question is hauling for, I think that would fall in thier lap. If these company's would take the time and check out thier carriers, it would probably benefit this whole industry. Oh, by the way I over heard a conversation that a big company in the industry will not load or unload farmer plated trucks unless they are hauling thier own product..... We farm to, but I'm a legit carrier also, hurray for this company doing the rite thing. By the way I believe I'll be on my way about 9:30 while I see that other guys truck leaving on the hook. I'll get my load delivered, his customer, his load is delayed, so much for cheap carriers.
