FERTILIZER LOADS
We as a company have decided not to take the risk of hauling fertilizer without a washout before and after a load. We have come very close lately to buying product on either end even after careful sweeping. I don't think very many of us can afford even a $6000 load of corn let alone a $30000 load of organics even fert is approching $20000 a load. We do alot of washouts already for organic and food grade. I figure $200 each wash average as it kills 25-100 miles, 2-3 hours of non productive time and $40-75 per wash. It's really hard to make any money out here and you can't afford to lose it in bunches like that. We even had a load of midds rejected after washing out when we hauled a load of potash vendor said we should have hauled a load of corn between also, go figure.
