Vibrators, big rubber hammer, long rod down through the middle. DDG's don't like humidity.

Do not let the load sit in any longer than it needs to. Does anyone know where to buy one of the long handle plastic sledge style hammers?

I would like to know also. Picked up a couple of long handle with big rubber ball (mallet) at end in an auction but can't find on line anywhere

Stanley makes a good one. You can order from Ace Hardware or MAC Tool man

The big rubber mallet on a long handle is called a "Almond Knocker" you can google it then order on line. We've outfitted most of our trucks with these in the last couple years. It will help but there's no magic bullet to get DDG's out with heat & humidty present.

I took a spade cut in half and put a 5 1/2 foot piece of conduit in between. Once you have a hole started go up top and break it apart. once you get the side cleaned out the ends start to slide. It's just the right lenth it fits under the front header of my 102 wide trailer

I don't have a problem with getting the stuff out of my walking floor. Right trailer for the job.

Sorry, couldn't resist

First rule, Dont haul salt before, second rule, waxthe inside of gyour trailer(depending on how many loads a week) every week or so. Its more work to beat the s#*t out of your trailer than an hour a week to put wax inside it, third, keep your trailer clean inside and don't let the slopes get beat up this will cause you problems as well. If comes out of my trailer fine twice a week.

I agree about the salt. I would like to know what kind of wax you use.

Is it a paste that you wipe on or a liquid that you spray on?

Sometimes I get out my long air nozzel and blow up from the bottom to get it started (thats if it is really stuck)

Hi JR - one of the best ways to get DDGs out of the trail is with a vibrator. Here are two application reports from customers that have used my vibrators to help unload DDGs from their trucks.

I haul 3-4 loads a day. There is no easy way to get them out of your trailer. Mine only sit for an hour and they stick. Slopes are not beat up and I have the biggest doors you can get and I have 2 good vibrators. The easiest for me is just get up top and poke something through them. Much less dusty up there. If you can't get on top then start beating at the bottom and work your way up the side of the hopper. Don't turn the vibrators on till you have a good hole started. And most importantly make sure it pays good enough to waste a half a day getting them unloaded. A couple trucks in front of you having the same problems will kill a couple hours.

DDG's settle and compress while in transit

if you can push them from the bottom up

virtually breaking them apart they fall right out

with little or no muss...the key is dividing them in half

creating a gap between (side wall to side wall) them directly over your trap

lay inter tubes in the bottom on the long slope before you load

attach a long air hose to the tube, run it up to the top of the trailer

(this works best ...helps keep tube in position while your loading)

or lay the hose on the trap so when opened you can retrieve it

then while unloading inflate the tube

causing the product to move, once you get the product loose and a little vibrating

it will fall out

Good Luck

Mop N Glow works well on the inside of the trailer. Roll on with an extendable handle and paint roller.
