I forwarded it on to the right company. The Independent called me and told me that they said they could only pay $1000.00 but the rate sheet I sent him was $2500.00. I told him quick sign it and send it back to them and he could send me a gift card for Olive Garden as a thank you. Never heard from him again, don't know if he got the $2500.00, if he did then he is not willing to share. LOL\n \n I hope whoever dislikes me cranks it up a notch. I am in a contest with a couple of others to see who can get the most dislikes here and in other forums, without being a total ahole. That is our rule. Those guys that do the trash collectively are making $30.00 per hour. That would be $240.00 a day in wages before benefits. I am starting to think the majority of our industry thinks we are worth less than the garbage man. \n \n That is ok, because when he truckers finally get fed up and just quit running. It will effect everybody, the Mega's will have an even harder time getting asses in seats, because when the little guy is gone, hardly anybody wants to stay as a prisoner in a box for the Mega's for a long period of time. There turnover rate is about 102% per quarter, that is right 102% per quarter. \n \n Think about that shippers, new trainees carrying your cargo all the time. I would think that your risk exposure is far greater with them than with us Independent Carriers.\n \n Oh, well when your cargo does not arrive because the Mega's driver is sitting in the Cass County Jail for pulling a knife on an old Independent, it sucks to be you.\n \n There was a hopper turned over the other day, and yep you guessed it, a Mega. Dana and friends may think they are vetting properly but we small guys have been rolled across scales, went in and got a cup of coffee, sat and waited for our good inspection and the officer just told us to roll on that they knew there was nothing wrong with our truck. The only time we get bad inspections is when the officer is doing his job and found something that we missed. I actually appreciate that, but according to Dana and friends we would not be eligible to run their freight.
