Would everyone else call this double brokering and are there rules and regulations against that? The same broker has an agent in my area (that thought I was stupid enough to load this) that is now brokering stuff out the door under various names. Company's that have loads may choose to contact trucks to load and deliver products, and/or choose to have another broker, do it for them. Of course when this happens, the rates are cut every time the loads get pimped out to another broker. I have seen loads start at $36 per ton only to end up at $28 per ton. I feel that this is double brokering and if it isn't illegal it should, in my opinion be unethical. After this incident I then find that this broker, which I was using a lot, gets the majority of their loads in this manner. As everyone on this forum seems to agree that freight doeesn't pay enough anyway, why are we allowing this? Also unless you get lucky, until this load, I was unaware that the loads I was handling were being double brokered. Thirdly why would the shipper want this scenario. IS THIS SCENARIO DOUBLE BROKERING

I had a broker offer me a load that was listed on this board. The person posting the load is more of a product buyer and seller rather than a truck broker. Now there was no reason why I would give up a percentage to load a load that I could get direct off this board. Would everyone else call this double brokering and are there rules and regulations against that? The same broker has an agent in my area (that thought I was stupid enough to load this) that is now brokering stuff out the door under various names. Big Broker, sounds fishy to me?
