If you are really interested in a lane, just call and have your number ready, and if it doesn't agree, just say goodbye and call the next guy. So many posting are quote requests. Seriously, we can't get any loads without submitting a quote first, so I don't understant carriers who call in but refuse to quote. Don't you realise that any load you've ever picked up, a carrier has quoted? So if you don't quote, then you'll probably get a rate you won't agree with.\nSecondly, rates are usually negotiable. Carriers will always ask for more than it's posted anyways, so if we post we have to post lower than we are willing to sell it, which may mean somebody won't call in because they think it's set rate and they don't agree.\nThirdly, I take the numbers of people who call on loads on a list. So just leave your name, number and what rate you need, and if the broker can make it agree with the customer, he will call you back with the load.
