I will say that it seems like several of our Ag shippers down here are sandbagging with their payables worse than usual this year. I am referring to established customers that we have worked with for several seasons. These places have large corporate structures with centralized billing. They continually place their local buying points and retail stores in a strained relationship with the carriers who are essential to their own survival. We have weeded out the worst offenders over time, but slow pay seems chronic this Spring. Even some brokers are advertising net 30 and no fuel card. Not sure what they figure they are adding to the equation, but I am fairly certain that they are not helping to provide a quality service with timely return on investment. Member ship is only $45 per year and if you email me I will give you my member number as your referral and you get your first year membership for $25. I get nothing from it. Plus they have other great services as well. I don't work for them or am affiliated with them in anyway. I just think they are a great orginization for truckers. I called bager state ethanol talk to Eric ... He can't help get money from Dan ( for say ) but he helped by talking to Dan . I got payment ! Was Not happy to hear what I had told him Because dan get payed within 2 weeks of hauling load ! Also had 2nd load same trouble . I also use hoploads and they called for me also . Got payment !! Joan is who I usually speak with as I believe there are only 2 people who work over in that department at the OOIDA. Also membership is only $25/year if you purchase a lifetime membership I believe so if the original poster is over 40 it's not too bad to buy a liftime membership. If you look at it the first time you have to put tires on your truck your membership has paid for itself right there just in the tire discount. It is worth every penny that we pay as members. I do not work for the OOIDA either however I support them for supporting me. Read my landline every time I get a chance too, and use that card every time I get a chance too.
