Soybean loose hulls?

Can anyone tell me how many tons of loose soybean hulls you can fit into a timpte 96" wide by 42' long by 78" tall trailer with standard hoppers? Thanks.

As always it depends on the plant. I wound say 20 to 23 ton. Ask for a 23 minimum. Dump your air suspension when loading, stack them high, be gentle when you shake them down (if you go hard you will throw them off the truck and make a mess). Enjoy the ride with a light load. They normally flow like water, I wish I could haul the all of the time.

Good luck!

I just hauled a load this week in a cornhusker-45'x96"x84" tall. I had them pile that crap a foot over the bows and had 22 tons on. I tried to shake down but we had plenty, went about 30 miles then I could re-tighten the tarp. Pay was good and it flowed right out.

If you're loading them in either Sioux City or Lincoln you're probably only gonna get about 22 ton on max. I've got a 72"x96"x50' and it was everything i could do to get that much on. If it is Sioux City and they haven't changed it in the last 5 years or so, it's a bitch to shake down there. Not much space and you've got to do it while you're tractor is not straight with the trailer. I always charge a little extra on Hulls or tell them it's a 24 or 25 ton minimum charge.
