Watch out for these portable scales. We loaded over by Wichita Falls. Texas was pulled over Texas fine us said we weighed 83,100 the co-op platform scale had us at 80,200. We went over to Denton Texas to the flower mill and they had is it 80,200. These guys are apparently math wizards lol! Wheat harvest 2023

If you were on 287 at the pull off west of witcha falls you can get by that spot on TX 240. They work that spot 7 days a week. Usually from first light til around 5pm. Even on Sunday.

If the Co-op & Flower Mill scales where both state certified, you can usually take the scale tickets to the JP and get it dismissed, if the tickets have a time and date stamped. |

You can fight that ticket with no worries there is a stamp on the scale itself on the bottom. That verifies that the scale weight may not be accurate because it’s a portable many people don’t know that.

If you are pulling out of a field during harvest, it is the farmer's responsibility. The farmer loading it gets the ticket, there's no way for you to know how much is on it. |
