I am a 3PL (refuse to use the name broker) who deals with carriers in a different way. This is a difficult business and is getting harder everyday. I am on the phone daily with carriers who have lost multiple trucks, their only truck or were simply forced into closing the business down. The CSA 2010 will certainly take another 3-5% of the drivers off the road. I just wanted to encourage you in that there are a lot of great people out there unfortunatly we always seem to have to deal with a lot of bad ones. They are the ones who make the most noise and cause the most problems. I don't have a lot of resources at present in your area but I have run across some exceptional people that might be able to help. First thought; transportation decision makers for the shipper community need to build a 1-5 year plan based around a cost - service model with forecast volume planning data. Share the foreward thinking modeling with the senior leadership within the organization. TIRED OF THE SONG AND DANCE.

I am a single truck owner operator with 2000 tractor and 2002 42.6x96x78 hopper.I spent 7 yrs over the road pulling mostly reefers,so i know how to run.
