How about a 2006 or 2007 Freightliner Columbia, not cool looking like a Pete or KW, but we are about making Money, atleast I am. Very lightweight, and 6.5-7mpg. Pulling a 2010 Timpte 42x78x96 Tare weight is 24,900- 25,900 lbs.

Ahhh a driver with taste...I have had both a pete and a Kwoble...Pete has a better sleeper..but it seems that some vender parts are not up to snuff...Like the back coating on the mirrors falling off..KW has better guages for night and is driver friendly...But the excelerator petal is not flat on the floor and your leg gets tired faster..the floor is at an angle...other than that it is ford...chevy...

Had a w900L boy she was a beauty and quite chubby n14 525 13spd and tall rubber a triple digit truck. And just the right amount of chrome. And the funny part is all that chrome and weight sure had a price of about $10,000 a year not counting replacing them goodies for thats what I make extra a year by driving a truck thats 2500 lbs lighter.

I'm a Peterbilt man since the age of 3. That having been said I would say you need to look at the kinda trucking you do. OTR I would say Pete 379 05, or 03 and older. Same with a KW. W900L's and 379 Longhoods are nice trucks. Ride nice and don't rattle like Freightliners and Internationals. Drove a T600 KW and it rode good too. In the end it comes down to what you like and what you can afford. If you're gonna be in it day after day it has to be something you're happy to have and be seen in. For me it was a 05 Pete 379 longhood.
