Post Rates and Product

As a paid subscriber I think it should be required when posting loads to post a rate and the product being hauled, or at least the product and ask you to price the rate if one hasn't been established. This would save loads of time as knowing the product and the rate would determine whether I need to call about the load in the first place. Just my opinion

Or broker tells me they'll have to call shipper & verify load is still available! If a broker is posting a load, it better be available

I think it's a losing battle to ask for the rate up front....but what gets me the most fired up is seeing them lie about the origin or destination town. Why say the load delivers to happyville, when the truth is that it delivers to angrytown 72 miles away from happyville??

Why cant the rate be posted?? We are told over and over again that only 10 percent is taken off. Why cant the rate be posted if everyone is only taking 10 percent? There's nothing to hide right? I agree, but I think the reason it is done in some cases anyway is to try and fend off some of the third and fourth party brokers who can guess at the load because they double brokered it before so when they see it they call the shipper. That's what someone told me once

I agree, but I think the reason it is done in some cases anyway is to try and fend off some of the third and fourth party brokers who can guess at the load because they double brokered it before so when they see it they call the shipper. That's what someone told me once

As far as posting rates,some of these brokers know who you are hauling for but do not know your rate,if you post the rate then these scum suckers,not naming any names but you know who they are,will go and try to cut your rate and steal your customers.So I dont agree on posting the rate.
