In the past I have read posts suggesting to oil the floor chains with used frying oil in a pump sprayer. I really dont want to use petrolium based due to hauling feed ingredients. Any good sugestions on how to get oil thru the sprayer? Does it need to be thinned? If so with what? I bought a sprayer and tried it but the oil just dribbles out of the nozzle. It may be the sprayer. I didnt buy the most expensive one because of what was going to be in it. Thanks |

Cut the top off a jug of canola oil and use a paint brush.

Try straining it through a fine screen to get the junk out or take the tip off your sprayer wand. This will make it flow at a low pressure stream, but it would work well enough to empty what you've got. Also id just pay a few bucks and get some cheap seed oil from the grocery, buy a large container and it will last a while without the headache of straining the used stuff. Just my 2 cents
