New scam from ghost carriers
Please be careful and keep watch on your DOT number, ELD and any other thing that is out there for your company. We just had a ghost carrier request an ELD under our DOT number from our provider. After an extensive converstion with the provider, we were able to accertain that someone was trying to slip into our ELD unit without being noticed. We have had to set up added security measures to ensure that we are not being pirated!
Damn, I wish people would work as hard at being honest as they do being sleezy! The world would be a much better place!
