I agree with nancy. The most organized man, is the man who isnt allowed to touch anything. At least in my case the books are tight when dale stays out of the office. We started with an excel spreadsheet that we made ourselves. After our tax lady told me not to do that, we use quicken

Things run a whole lot smoother in here when I stay out of the accounting as well. We use Quickbooks Pro because that is what the accountant recommended. Besides it was compatable with her systems as well. Yes, my wife is the chief financial officer of this outfit.

I get an allowance for me and an allowance for parts. I have a very tiny basic idea of what I owe, not really except the payment on my wifes new car. I will be working HARD for another 5 yrs, but oh yeah she is worth it, the wife i mean.
When we got married she had to teach me that just because there are checks in the book doesn't mean there is money to cover them.

I have been using Rigbooks. I really like it, and if I have any questions I call them and they are always willing to help me out. Even made some changes that I sujested.

We used Quickbooks but went over to Trucking Office. They got everything you need when it comes to the transportation business. Highly recommended.

I use quick books does the job for two trucks. However, after going through all the trucking software on the internet I really liked ITS. It had everything I needed. But it is not needed for anything less then 5 trucks. You can still use it for one but I used quick books with that software since they go together very well and decided to not use it anymore.
