What is a good rate for an almond haul of 345 miles going from Lost Hills, CA to Nevada. I'm being offered $2.25 a mile.

How much deadhead are you putting in? That affects the rate.

I wouldnt get excited about that rate, because honestly what are you going to do out of Nevada, and what kind of rate you going to go out of Nevada with, there are going to be several different people with ideas of what it should be,but at a bare minimum you should be doing $2.50 a a mile on all miles for the round

🤣...That's what the broker is gonna do when you tell them you want 2.50/mile round trip rate for almond hulls.

I don't know about everyone else, but I thought this guy was a Carrier, wanting to know if he should take this load for this rate. I received an email from him today saying he was looking for a CARRIER/OO, (that's how it was written in the email), that is experienced in hauling ammonds. CALL ASAP. Load paying $925...🤷‍♂️
