cheap freight

Number one, when your new you start from the bottom. But as time has gone by and I've had enough miles and income/ expenses to have a relatively accurate balance sheet, I've learned that your better off going to a destination empty than pulling a 1.75 per mile load. The extra fuel, and the extra unload time make it more profitable to just plain not do the load. This post is for new people like me, you veterans already know.

Think of that every time you waste half a day to get that cheap load off so you might make it to your better load before they close for the day.
