The Dozens is a game of spoken words between two contestants, common in Black communities of the United States, where participants insult each other until one gives up. Beings I started in the hood as one of the few white guys in downtown Kansas City before we moved to the country to Osborn, MO, I became very good at this game.

Dana Chirtofferson from GlobalTranz, in Prescott Valley, AZ said the following:

"Corn my be booked by the bushel, sand my be booked my the ton. However, I hate to say this, us brokers will never be undone (rhym), However, I dont deal with alot of hoppers. I do however need pnuematic trucks, tankers. Shit man, I pay one carrier $4.66 a mile, and I make 50 bucks out of the deal, Hell after coporate, gets their cut, I make 7.5 percent. You guys think its all bed of roses on the broker side, its not. Unless you have a broker, whos ripping you!!"

My turn Dana:

When you wake up in the morning, and you get that cup of coffee do you about choke on it when you realize just how much money you will be withholding from the trucker that day? Better yet when you take that morning crapper does it put a smile on your face to know your are going to rip a trucker your way? Beds of roses have thorns and dishonorable brokers have horns. I don't think I would like to deal with either one, because I am the hammer and am trying to get the dishonorable broker undone. The truth will set your free, the lie will make you have glee, only you can decide which path you like to take as one like you rips the hard working truckers with your rake.

Your turn Dana:

Alfred. Why dont you give Benny over at Bradys Trucking a call. Dave at Autumn Transport. Tom at Blachowske Truck Line. I have been working with Dave and Tom for over 3 years now, Benny for a few months. You will find out that they dictate the rates, Im not into cutting throats. More than a few times I have came in a few dollars cheaper on van freight. I told the potential customer stay with your current carrier. For example:
Alfred go play your own game, cause I'm not playing it with you

Hi Cody.
Good talking with you today. I'm sure I could run the TX to FL for $2050. However, it sounds like you have a good relationship with you current carrier. I have been doing this for a long time, and I would rather build a relationship, than destroy one.

Ok, Dana I accept your surrender. Just trying to have a little fun. Oh well, life is just too serious anymore.

I was excited to see that there may be someone that would play the game with me.

Have a good day, and enjoy your weekend.
