Dash cam

I want a dash cam. I don't think I want one that depends on hard braking to turn on. I can see where you could hit a car pulling in front of you without hitting brakes. Don't want any that record driver.
Hopefully you can suggest something that doesn't take a college course to use? Not technically savy. My trucks run in all light conditions if that matters.

Thanks Art Pfluger

I have the kdlinks x1 I think is the model. I think it was 200 dollars and I'd say it is worth it. I guess at first it is a little complicated to get it set up but I think its worth the cussing and anger. First off, it has a wide angle camera, so even if u mount it directly to the windshield, it sees almost everything you do. 2nd it has the ability to show your speed if you want it to, so nobody can accuse you of falsely speeding. It's a pain, but u can set it to constantly record, it stores 80 minutes at a time, and just records over the old automatic. I never turn mine off unless I'm home, it is supposed to recognize a speedy deceleration and automatically lock the camera so it doesn't record over the accident and you lose it because you forgot to press lock in the excitement. Its crystal clear at day. Night, and driving into a sunset. Its overkill for you, but the 80 dollar camera I had just plain sucked. Not much storage and unless it was noon it didn't see much. Forgot to mention, if the accident doesn't slow the truck down fast to automatically save the video, you just push a button and it locks it.
