I did not haul any brokered loads in 2017, my 5th year of my own authority!
I'm just a one man operation with 2 ELD exempt trucks and 2 stainless tankers. I realize this is easier done when you have 1 truck instead of more. What it took to get away from brokers was word of mouth, clean reliable equipment, and perfect customer service. I never broke a non-compete. I have 2 dedicated customers paying round trip and 2 more that want my service, but I can only do so much. This board was no help along the way, but I have met and talked to some great people who were either of help or just nice to meet! Piss on the ELDs and cheap broker games, as I'm safe from that crap for now. Merry Christmas and Happy New year! |

Hey Mike glad to hear about your success. I am trying to accomplish the same, are you pulling haz or non haz tanker? I was considering switching from bottom hopper to tanker but I notice this board doesn't have a lot of tanker loads
