ELD’s

I currently use JJ kellars eld. To me it is ment for large trucking companies, they have no ag exempt or anything like that on it. It lags way behind, very glitchy, and sometimes keeps u logged on while u are stopped. The good is when I do my reports every 3 months it has all my fuel and mileage in every state and basically makes it very easy todo my dot stuff. So what ELD’S are u guys using that make it easy todo the reports and have a ag exempt option that is easy to run and goes to your phone. Thanks

I currently run the Garmin ELD. You have to go to personal conveyance then type in Agricultural.
I like the no monthly fee but the model 710 dezel gps that I use requires a smart phone to Bluetooth the Eld and gps. The GPS constantly disconnects from the eLog.

There are many choices out there. We use Motive and have been using it since ELD's were mandated. They have the ag excemption capability and are very reliable.

Konexial My20, has a dedicated Ag function and the customer service is second to none. They have quite a few training videos on YouTube.

Motive is not out of service, used to be called Keep Truckin. Been using it since the ELD mandate.

Eld's? I remember hearing about those. Yeah, screw that! I'm still running my 95 379 with a mechanical cat in it. She's been a good one.

I run J.J Keller Encompass. The customer service is top notch. Once I got it all setup it's easy to use and it has a non-regulated driving function that I use for harvest. My only complaint is it's a little more complicated to setup than it needs to be for an owner operator.

You guys have to watch on the Ag exempt feature that it doesn’t count down your 70 hr clock. My People Net would show no hours for the day but would count down the 70 hr clock.

I've used big rig ever since we've had to have one. I have no complaints other than you have to use PC for ag exempt and put it in the notations. They did a podcast on one here in Bulkloads that I'm seriously thinking about it's got a really nice ag exempt feature. I just can't use ag exempt all the time So I don't know if I'd be worth a switch

It broke sent it back not back yet run paper

no issues at the scales. No more little red light in the corner for Fmcsa to look at

Hey Dave. Check out the AG exemption feature on the My20 ELD.. here are the top 5 reasons drivers use My20 for AG.

  1. AG function is simple and easy to use. Activate AG exempt with one-touch.
  2. Both driver and admin have visibility to the truck inside/outside 150 air mi. circle (visual aid)
  3. Eliminates need for driver to manually estimate their location in regards to 150 mi. exception
  4. Using My20 ELD vs. paper eliminates manually tracking miles for IFTA
  5. My20 AG exception cuts operating costs and gives more time on road (no need to pull over and annotate)

If you are an Ag commodity transporter:

Step 1. Get some paper logs from the truckstop, and take whatever ELD device or service you currently use and disconnect it.

Step 2. Roll the window down.

step 3. Throw it out the window (like many people do Pee bottles). Finish your trip on paper logs and go home.

Step 4. Call konexial and get the My20ELD

Step 5. Run paper logs or take time off while the device is enroute. This is the time to relax, grab your favorite beverage, go to their YouTube Channel and watch the training videos.

Step 6. Install the new device in the truck, Sync it to your tablet or phone, and set up the tower service for multiple trucks.

Step 7. Grab a beer or cocktail and marvel at what you've just accomplished.

Step 8. Be happy with your new ELD and never worry about this topic again.

Thank You, Over and OUT!

turn it on about every 100 miles. Problem solved
