Start in Erie, PA taking coke load to Reedsburg, WI for delivery ($1750.00). Go to (1 pick) Marshall, WI or Columbus, WI take load delivering to Channonhan, IL deliver. Then go to Danville, IL pick up and deliver in Hopkins, OK. The WI to Channonhan, IL will pay $285.00 and the IL to OK will pay $675.00. You think that could maybe work? This could be very consistent if possible? Roughly 1,650 miles total.

Found it, out by Eva, Ok in the northwest panhandle. Unless there is another one, could be as well.

I ran the proposed route and came up with 1927 miles. Next question I have is what are we going to do when we get to Hopkins, OK? Looks like a one way run that is not paying very good to start and you are leaving us out in the panhandle with nothing to come back with. I know what you are going to say, not your problem right?

Don't believe that guy from Tiny Quality Loco's they have a hard time getting trucks because the are too cheeeeeeeeeeeeeep!

I shouldn't even waste my time but oh well. 1910 miles and pays $2710 the math comes out at (drum roll please) $1.42 a mile. That is not including the Hopkins back to Erie. The Danville to Hopkins comes out at 73 cents a mile.

I'm sure that some fool will do this but I must ask what are you thinking. You wasted your time typing this and my time reading it. You need to do some research before you ask a question like this. The panhandle of OK is a dry area, grain coming back to the port and it is cheap because the river termials know it and are just paying fuel to get back to the river to load fertlizer ( a whole other topic). If someone is running for a 1.42 a mile they won't be for long because they will be broke and out of business.

If anyone considers that "great", I'd hate to see their definition of mediocre. Before anyone brags about how great that load of coke is, ask how much you get for waiting at Erie.

I think he is new at the game and is not understanding why he is having a hard time to get these loads covered. If he is not having a hard time getting them covered at those rates just shows how low we have fallen as truckers. I have been offered rates like that for our hopper today in Iowa and was really shocked. Took me a while but I got my truck out at a decent rate, still not where I really want it but we can live, make a little profit and fight another day.
