Many of you shippers in the manufacturing and agriculture sector, have had to deal with the EPA, coming in and trying to choke all the life out of your company for the past 8 years. At the same time, many of the big megafleet carrierrs out there, have been playing kissy face with the EPA, openly advertising to the public that they are in favor of more insane enviornmental regulation, as they drive down the road with their "ECO FLEETS", spreading the message of Going Green to the public. (surely you have seen the stickers and graphics they plaster all over their trailers). Have you ever noticed that the small mom and pop carriers seem to have more in common with you, than the mega fleets operations do? |

I don't know if it can still be found but look for an article in the Industry news section here titled "Why small carriers are shrinking". Dated Thursday September 24, 2015. It echoes many of your thoughts and more.

There is another example of how the mega fleets attack their own customers, and punish shippers everywhere, by manufacturing a capacity crunch through corrupt lobbying and legislation ,designed to eliminate competition from the market. In effect they use the customers own money against them. A small mom and pop carrier would never dream of treating their customer this way .
