Thanks" If you are going into states that recognize a spread, its definitely worth it to have one. But alot of states dont let you weigh any more than a closed tandem

Yes you can haul more in some states, but then they may not let you go on the interstate. And my empty weight is about 2500 lbs less with the closed tandem then the spread. So you really aren't gaining that much with the spread. Also pulls way easier, and my milage has went back up too. And easier to turn and get around with also. Just my 2 cents worth.
