Posted by a private BulkLoads.com member.	Posted by a private BulkLoads.com member. Yes you'll need a permit. Pull over to the side BEFORE you cross the state scales and walk into the office and buy a trip permint. Or you can call the state office and purchase a trip permit.

I don't remember right off but I'll look and see if I can find a receipt. We have one O/O who runs a combo plate instead of IRP so he has to buy a permit every trip.

I been going to Hattiesburg that way quite a bit and they been being closed going both ways during the day time. I don't know if you can buy the permit from a DPS officer or not. Are you going out 59 into Alabama

Posted by a private BulkLoads.com member.	Posted by a private BulkLoads.com member. If you can't get right for Miss you can take I-59 up to La 41north to Bogulusa then take Ms 26 east from Bogalusa back over to 59 north. It's about 25 mile out of the way but you won't see any cops.
