I am looking for software to help organize our business. I have looked at Quickbooks, however I would prefer software specalizing in trucking. Has anyone heard of "truckingoffice.com" ? It looks like it has many of the features I want, but would like to talk with someone who has used it. Do you have any recommendations for software. Key features I am looking for are: payroll, invoicing, tracking fuel for IFTA, and organizing for tax time. Thanks for any help.

We use Prophesy. It is a fairly well integrated software that will track fuel taxes, it has features for tracking logs, accounting, mileage, just about whatever you need. it is a bit pricy, but you can get different modules for your needs that will customize it for your needs. The only thing i don't like about it is that is somewhat difficult to navigate and it has a few shortcomings in doing math functions. I like the mileage part of the program. We have used that portion of the product since it first came out in a dos format. The only major problem we have had with it is that some of the upgrades have knocked out a couple key functions that I use a lot. Called customer service and growled a lot and they fixed it.

I use the Internet Truckstop online software. It handles everything trucking and doesn't have outragious prices. It keeps up with your dispatch, billing, IFTA and employees. Very simple User Interface. I think you would like it.I used Quickbooks for years and have used others like TMW but ITS is definately the way to go.

Sounds like you run a larger operation, but there's a system called PROFIT GAUGES thru Kevin Rutherford, LETS TRUCK.com.. His system is perfect for owner operators. Very affordable also.

We love Trucking Office. Once you set up your customers and shippers it makes everything A BREEZE. I can dispatch the trucks from home or from my ipad in the truck. I think one of the best points is the server based software. Its not going to be quickbooks for you, but it will keep everything ready for you when time comes to enter in quickbooks.
It works great and best of all is the free trial to figure it out.

Out of curiousty, what did you have them change in Prophesy? We are having trouble with the times when creating loads and the rates when we are trying to create a per ton load. Thank you!

I use their system and am very happy with it. Works well for me to keep all my loads in one spot and know which ones have been done and the paperwork uploaded for me view. Good people to work with!!!
